Family estrangement has been called a “silent epidemic“.
It happens between parents and children, siblings and other relatives.
Family estrangement is often unexpected and it is frequently extraordinarily painful. It can result in feelings of isolation, fear, grief and shame.
I frequently work with parents who are estranged from adult children and understand the complexity of estrangements that can dislocate important relationships. Although sometimes family estrangements can be reconciled, that may or may not be the appropriate outcome in your situation. I will work with you to achieve an outcome that is best for you.
