Relationship management
Relationships within the workplace, between friends or within a family, managing interactions with others.
We can control ourselves but have little control over others.
Whether it’s relationships within the workplace, between friends or within a family, managing interactions with other people can be hard work. When things don’t go well, it can take a real toll on us. The issues can be complex and the solutions are often ambiguous at best.
I work with clients to sort out what underlies the problems and how to address them. Because we can control ourselves but have little control over others, I encourage clients to reflect on their own habitual behaviours and thought patterns. How do those habits impact their relationships and how can they be enhanced to get better outcomes? Â What effect might these changes have on others?
